View the Tanzania Energy Congress 2022 highlights. The event heard from over 70 conference speakers, showcased over 80 exhibiting companies and over 750 delegates, all of whom were able to meet and network with over 1000 industry attendees.

The Tanzania Energy Congress 2022 officially kicked off on Wednesday 3 August, 2022, at the JNICC, Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. The theme ‘The Next Phase In Tanzania's Energy Sector: Promoting Investment & Growth’ provoked diverse and highly impactful conversations around the opportunities and challenges within the energy sector. 

The Congress also witnessed the official Exhibition opening ceremony by Hon. Kassim Majaliwa, Prime Minister, Tanzania, with an entertaining cultural performance, and transitioned to a night of networking amid music and great local cuisine. The Gala dinner was hosted by Equinor and Shell and included the esteemed Tanzania Energy Industry Awards.

The second day of the Tanzania Energy Congress attracted companies such as MASDAR, Schlumberger, TotalEnergies, EACOP, Wentworth Resources, Schneider Electric and others giving presentations on the latest clean technologies advancing Tanzania’s energy sector. 
 
The day opened with a strategic session on Promoting Investment & Financing in the Energy Sector in Tanzania where Hon. Eliezer Ambuki Feleshi, Attorney General of Tanzania highlighted Tanzania’s legal framework to attract investment. Other strategic sessions included Women in Energy as well a Downstream spotlight.
 
The Congress was officially closed by Hon. Hemed Suleiman Abdulla, Second Vice President of Zanzibar and Hon. January Makamba, Minister of Energy confirming that both Tanzania and Zanzibar is open for business and looking forward to next year’s Congress in 2023.
